A Light Emitting Diode (LED) is a semiconductor device which converts electricity into light. LED lighting has been around since the 1960s, but is just now beginning to appear in the residential market for space lighting LEDs are better at placing light in a single direction than incandescent or fluorescent bulbs. Because of their directional output, they have unique design features that can be exploited by clever designs.

LED ribbon llights are ideal for interior applications and light color can be 5500k white, warm white, red and blue. There are 30 LEDs per meter.
Small size and cool light output make the Flexible LED Ribbon Light ideal for a wide range of applications, such as cove lighting, back lighting, illumination lighting, under cabinets or counters, guidance lighting, and other narrow area lighting.. Concentrated arrays can be used for room lighting.
Waterproof, outdoor ribbon lighting is also available; consider applications such as gardens, walkways, decks and decorative fixtures outside garage doors to be the most cost-efficient.

An LED retrofit light inserts right into your existing can light, replacing your existing can with a highly efficient light. The complete retrofit includes light, trim, and socket. This is a 13 watt LED light (equivalent to a 75 watt incandescent).
An LED light will average 50,000 hours usage at only 12watts of electricity.
